I'm BACK. That's right. I'm FRIGGIN BACK.

I've been gone for a few months, probably since sometime in June/Julyish, BUT NOW there's time to tell you what the HECK I've been doing to keep myself busy.

...I've been doing quite possibly the most difficult/elaborate costumes I've ever been a part of.

STORY

This costume has a story with it:

I have a good friend of mine who had made the pretty gown that the character Gwendolyn wears sometimes in the game. She lamented that nobody ever makes Oswald (especially in armor). It was then that I got the idea...

...I was going to find a way to make it, and surprise her at Youmacon.

This was sometime in February 2009.

We began drafting and working on the costume pieces once JAFAX had passed - we had gotten some styrene work under our belts and felt somewhat confident we could make it.

Several months, and constant work passed (I haven't had a free weekend since June 30th).

We were able to get my friend to come to Youmacon dressed as Gwen, and from what we could tell, she had NO IDEA. My fellow cohorts were able to bring her into the convention, and as a surprise that morning, I came down the stairs dressed in Oswald for her Gwendolyn.

...needless to say, she appeared to be very happy, and it was totally AWESOME. (She even cried! It was great)

It couldn't have gone any better, and I'll be taking Oswald wherever I go in the next year and more - we'll be doing some touch-ups now and again on him to keep him in top shape, as well as fix some of the issues.

Oh, and I got m'self a judge's choice at the masquerade too! Bonus!

STORY OVER

Now what am I going to do? Well I've got some comic work I am planning to work on as well as finish some commissions and catch up on my messages on my site here.

Whew. I had over 2,000 deviations/messages/etc. So I'm sorry if I don't see something, I just cleared most of this out (save for the notes I'll be going through this week).

I am! I am in the process of making a new giant batch, and I can let people know when some sets are available. I actually have a NEW set (Sinnohs) ready now, as well! Look for pictures soon!

OMG! That's amazing! You were so good at the cosplay contest along with that cowboy dude (I can't remember what character he was cosplaying as ^^; ) And your artwork was soo good! Do you still have those pokemon badges?

BTW, I was the girl cosplaying as Conan Edogawa, and you took a pic of me? I also played caramelldansen during that offtime at the cosplay contest XD
